New Role, New Lens: 3 Ways to Navigate the Start with Intention

Being new is not easy, here are 3 things to consider:

  1. You were hired for a reason - you bring fresh/valuable/different perspective - pay attention to how you fit and how you don't - there is value in both

  2. Onboarding you may not be top of mind for folks - frame your early conversations by naming the onboarding phase - this will set a constructive tone

  3. Develop the narrative, ask yourself: where are folks at right now? what's happened? what do I see that others don't? where are we headed?

I encourage leveraging your early days to assess the landscape before diving in too deep.
